Noah's Ark Nursery

We thank you for the opportunity to meet you and care for your child while you attend church activities. Word of Peace cares about children and strives to provide quality care in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment.

Nursery Rooms:

We have two nursery rooms.   One or both rooms may be open depending on demand, service attendance, and staff availability.  Room Capacity is up to the nursery staff’s discretion. 

By request, the nursery will be staffed and provide childcare for the following groups/events as funds and staff are available.  The may be a charge for this childcare.

  • Church School Teachers during church school
  • ALPHA, Life Worth Living, Challenging Lifestyles courses
  • The Marriage Course
  • Small Groups
  • Parenting classes
  • Team and Council Meetings
  • Congregational meetings
  • Church School teacher orientation, training, and appreciation meetings
  • New Member classes
  • Adult Education
  • First Communion classes
  • Peace Market
  • Crown Financial classes

Nursery Staff:

All staff members are church employees, have successfully passed a background check, and meet all requirements as stated by the Word of Peace nursery attendant position description.  Each nursery room is staffed with a nursery employee, confirmation student volunteers, and/or parent volunteers.

Illness/Sickness Policy:

We cannot accept children in the nursery if any of the following conditions are present:

  • Underarm temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or over, or an oral temperature of 101 degrees Fahrenheit or over.
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea (illness related or reaction to food – we cannot frequently be changing messy diapers.)
  • Rash – other than a mild diaper rash
  • Frequent cough or an extremely runny nose
  • Contagious illness such as pink eye, chicken pox, strep throat, etc. or parasitic infestation

By request, the nursery will be staffed and provide childcare for the following groups/events as funds are available.

  • Monday small group participants
  • Parenting classes
  • Choir practice
  • Team and Council meetings
  • Congregational meetings
  • Church School Teachers training meetings and appreciation dinners

  • Adult Education

The nursery will be open for every regularly scheduled worship service on Sundays and Mondays.  You may drop your child off 10-15 minutes prior to the service you plan to attend.

*If you signed up for a Baptism or New Member class and need childcare, your request has been sent to the Nursery Coordinator.

You do not need to fill out a childcare request form.
