Reflected in our vision and mission is our commitment to living our lives in accordance with the six marks of discipleship.

OUR CORE VALUES

All of the programs, classes and activities support our core values at Word of Peace: Grace, Hospitality, Worship, Discipleship, Service, Community and Joy.

Grace:  God’s grace is for everyone.  Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are led to love and forgive each other as God has done for us.  Each day brings a chance to begin again.

Hospitality:  We believe everyone is a child of God.  We welcome all people to participate in the worship and activities of the church, with the hope that we will become friends and fellow disciples of Christ.

Worship:  We value the differences in which people experience God, therefore we worship in a variety of ways to fully encompass the diverse needs of our congregation.  All aspects of worship are uplifting and spiritually fulfilling, while focusing on giving glory to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Discipleship:  We seek to grow in our faith by using the Six Marks of Discipleship as our model.  All believers are disciples of Jesus Christ. 

Service:  We are called to actively love and care for our neighbor and God’s creation at and beyond Word of Peace.

Community:  We are brought together by shared faith.  We celebrate the uniqueness of each individual, and we work to establish healthy relationships with God, each other, and the world around us.

Joy:  We rejoice in the freedom of God’s grace!  God loves us and has done everything to make us His, both in this life and in eternity.  We experience this joy as we serve and fellowship together.
