Welcome to the Volunteer Ministries page of our website. My name is Amanda Wheece, and I am the Volunteer Ministry Coordinator at Word of Peace. 

Our church is full of opportunities for you to volunteer and serve the Lord.  We have events throughout the year, tasks that are  completed on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, committees that need helping hands, ministry teams that are always looking for new team members and a large list of ministries that are conducted regularly.

We appreciate the volunteers we have at Word of Peace, and we are always looking for new volunteers. We also know how busy life can be and understand that you are not always able to help out when asked.

We will list different activities on a regular basis on the Do>Ministry page.  Please be sure to check back frequently!

Hello! My name is Terri Gilsrud. I am the Worship Volunteer Coordinator here at Word of Peace Lutheran Church. I recruit, schedule, train, and support volunteers involved with worship services. Volunteers are important to all areas of worship. Numerous people are needed to fill the positions of Ushers, Communion Servers, Scripture readers, Sound Techs, Media Techs, Musicians, Acolytes, Tray Holders, Alternates, Worship Coordinators, Altar Preparers, Bread Makers, Wine delivery, and Baptismal cloth embroiderers on a weekly, monthly, or rotational basis. If you would like to volunteer for any of these positions or have any questions, please contact me. I would be happy to assist in finding the right opportunity for you!
