PRAYERS FOR SEPTEMBER 2010


Please pray:

  1. For encouragement and God's love to touch everyone attending the services at Wellstead today; that they may know God's love and grace surrounds them.
  2. For all those who attend AA meetings, that they may know we are proud of them for taking steps for changes toward a better and more abundant lifestyle.
  3. For safety in travel and joy in celebrating the last holiday weekend of the summer.
  4. For safety in all water sports this Labor Day weekend.
  5. For all who attend church, that they may be uplifted by God's love and grace and experience peace.
  6. For safety in travel and all activities in which summer events come to a close.
  7. For all students, teachers, and school liaison officers as the school year begins, that they will have good control in the classrooms so they can provide good learning environments, and that students are responsive to all that is done to make them comfortable and safe while learning.
  8. For the Education Staff as they meet and prepare for the year ahead.
  9. For those people who are being married this weekend, that they base their married life on God's foundation.
  10. For those who are working to make the 35th Anniversary celebration of the founding of Word of Peace Lutheran Church.
  11. For the church council as they meet.  Many issues are at the forefront, particularly budget concerns and the calling of another pastor.
  12. For Michael Pearce Donley as he puts on a concert; pray that the blessings of God will be on the performer as well as the audience so that this evening will be a spiritually uplifting event for all.
  13. For God to bless our church as the anniversary celebration continues, plus the Sunday School classes that begin for our children and youth and adults.
  14. For all who study God's Word, that it may be a Light to their path in life.
  15. For our staff, that every hour they spend doing God's work will come back to bless them.
  16. For all choirs as they begin practice during this autumn season.  May their musical talents be blessed by God's hand.
  17. For safety on the roads this weekend as people travel to cabins or to visit friends and relatives.
  18. For those who are out enjoying the rivers and lakes, may they be safe in God's hands and protected from harm.
  19. For those who attend worship today, that they may go home refreshed in His Word and that they are ready for the week ahead.
  20. For the success of the community meal that is served this evening at Jordan New Life Church in Minneapolis.
  21. For the staff meeting today, that they may have guidance in all the decision-making that is necessary.
  22. For the students who are attending confirmation this year, that they are attending with enthusiasm and willing and open hearts for God and His ways in their life.
  23. For those who are experiencing broken relationships, that God's love will guide them through this difficult time.
  24. For the staff as they work to complete the many tasks at Word of Peace. May they know their hands and hearts serve God's people.
  25. That God will bless the marriages of young couples who exchange rings and pledge their love to one another on this day.
  26. For all those involved in teaching or serving in educational programs at Word of Peace.
  27. For mothers who attend the Mondays with Moms group, that they are inspired to nurture the youngsters in their care and they they know how important the mother's role is in the development of the children.
  28. For blessings on all who are willing to commit to music groups and who are willing to practice, be it in choir, the bell choirs, or other groups that sing to enhance our worship services.
  29. For  blessings on those who are studying the parables.  May the messages that Jesus taught resonate in today's society.
  30. For those who attend the Senior Wellness Group, that through exercise the senior citizens remain in good health.
