About Our Worship Services

Traditional Service Sunday at 8:00 am (8:30 am during summer) • A worship service that most Lutherans likely grew up with. • It is a service filled with liturgy, hymns and sung Psalms. • The pastors dress in traditional alb and stole • There are three readings that follow the Revised Common Lectionary except when the pastors teach a sermon series. • Sermons are 10-15 minutes • There is a children’s sermon • The music is accompanied by organ and piano and is led by a cantor. • There is special music during the offering. • The bulletin contains all readings and music needed for the service. • After-worship fellowship with Coffee and donuts in the Gathering Area. Blended Service Sunday at 9:30 am (10:00 am during summer) • A worship service that merges aspects of traditional and contemporary traditions. • The music combines hymns, modern liturgy and contemporary praise songs. • Pastors dress in traditional alb and stole • There are three readings that follow the Revised Common Lectionary except when the pastors teach a sermon series • Sermons are 10-15 minutes • There is a children’s sermon • The music is accompanied by piano and organ and is led by worship leaders • All music and readings are projected onto screens • There is special music during the offering. • The bulletin contains all readings and music needed for the service. • After-worship fellowship with Coffee and donuts in the Gathering Area. Contemporary Service Sunday at 11:00 am (school year only) • A high energy worship service, led by a contemporary worship ensemble • Draws upon the fantastic traditions of the Lutheran church. • All music and readings are projected onto screens • Sermons are 10-15 minutes • There is a children’s sermon • There is special music during the offering. • After-worship fellowship with Coffee and donuts in the Gathering Area. Monday Evening Service Monday at 6:30 pm (year-round except holidays) • The perfect worship after a long Monday, or a crazy busy weekend. • Everything that Sunday contemporary worship has but condensed into 45 minutes • This is a casual worship service • Draws upon the fantastic traditions of the Lutheran church. • All music and readings are projected onto screens • Sermons are 10-15 minutes • There is a children’s sermon • A meal is served before this worship service beginning at 5:30 (return)
