| Hey Parents! This is a page dedicated to you. We know there are a lot of details that you need to know before sending your youth on a youth trip or when they attend an event. This is the place for all of that. Here you will find all the forms you will need, packing lists, youth account balances, chaperone policies and sign up. Summer 2012 ELCA National Youth Gathering - July 17-24, 2012 July 17-24, 2012, ELCA youth will gather—again—in New Orleans, not to cheer on the Saints football team, but to stand with the saints of God in that place: the young and the old, the privileged and the uninvited, the lonely and the claimed, the powerful and the shamed, the weak and the strong, those who have built new homes and those still struggling to rebuild. Why go back? Because New Orleans has more to teach us about fresh starts made possible by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. New Orleans has more to teach us about generosity and about how to be good neighbors. New Orleans has more to teach us about the house that God is building. Please join us in the summer of 2012 in New Orleans. There is more to be done, and more to learn. Go to www.elca.org/gathering and become part of the movement, ELCA for NOLA! The ELCA Youth Gathering recommends that youth participants be between 14 and 18 years of age and entering 9th grade in the fall of 2012 (completed 8th in the spring of 2012) or just graduated from high school in the spring of 2012. Adult Leader information for this trip will be available in September. |
