Confirmation Ministry

WELCOME! Word of Peace partners with parents to  provide 6th, 7th, and 8th graders an opportunity to connect their faith to daily life, serve God's people, study Martin Luther's catechism, and prepare students to reaffirm their baptism promises in 9th grade.

Confirmation students attend a large group learning time that includes music, games, skits, and a weekly lesson taught by a pastor. Students also meet in small groups of 6-8 peers that is led by an adult volunteer guide. 

Each month, small groups participate in a fellowship event or a servant event. Fellowship events are a time to have fun and get to know one another and servant events are a time for students to serve God's world by helping people in our community. 

Students also grow in faith and love by attending worship, completing homework in their "Anti-Work Workbook, and serving their church by volunteering.

Confirmation Hours

Wednesdays:

• Early Groups: 5:30pm - 7:00pm
• Late Groups: 6:30pm - 8:00pm

Note:  The time group your child attends will depend on the group time you selected on your registration form.

Confirmation Guides are caring and committed adults who mentor and care for middle school kids by leading a confirmation small group.
