All weddings at Word of Peace are worship services. Those who gather at the wedding are present to celebrate God's love and sacred blessing of the couple and to join in prayers for the blessedness of this marriage. Our purpose is to assist in establishing marriages rather than just performing a wedding ceremony.
Planning Your Wedding
Counseling
You will be required to complete 2 two-hour counseling sessions with the Pastor during his regular office hours.
Music
In order for the music to be meaningful to the bridal couple, the music for the ceremony should be chosen carefully. A sheet of suggested music is available from the Pastor.
Fees & Deposits
A deposit must be made when the wedding date is placed on the church calendar. All other fees are due and payable to the wedding coordinator at least ten days prior to the wedding.
Marriage License
The marriage license should be given to the wedding coordinator at least five days prior to the wedding.
Bulletins
If you would like bulletins to be created and offered to your guests at your wedding ceremony, be sure to have your Order of Service approved by the pastors and given to the church secretary two weeks prior to your wedding. There will be a fee for this service.
Pictures
Photography and the use of video taping is permitted if it does not upstage the dignity of the ceremony. |
