Jonah and the Whale Musical! Word of Peace is looking for elementary age boys who like to be on-stage! If your son likes to sing and is in Grades 3 - 6, sign up for the Grace Choir musical. This year, they'll perform Oh, Jonah!
Our congregation will break ground on a sanctuary in 2016. It will take all of us to meet the needs of our growing congregation and to build this facility. Look for upcoming ways that we are going to get this done!
About Our Programming
Life pulls families in many directions, however, at Word of Peace, we share in the faith that Jesus' love and forgiveness is a free gift for all people. We believe that "nothing, absolutely nothing can separate us from the love ofGod."
(paraphrase of Romans 8:38)
We strive to be a loving & welcoming community that proclaims the Gospel to all God's people. We welcome you and your family and invite you to come and become Jesus' disciple with us.
SPARK! CHURCH SCHOOL
Children participate in both small & large group settings. During small group time (in a classroom setting) teachers use the Bible, curriculum, games, activities and crafts to teach a weekly lesson. During large group, classes come together to worship and learn through song, scripture, prayer and offering.
SPARK! NRSV & STORY BIBLE
Fun and age-appropriate Bibles serve as the primary learner resource. Kids open their Bibles and engage with God's Word each and every week. This helps our kids begin building a personal, lifelong relationship with God's Word. Every child in our congregation receives their own personal copy of the Spark! Bible for their age-group.
FOUR AVAILABLE SESSIONS
For your family's convenience, we offer four sessions of church school.
Each week, your child will be greeted by the familiar faces of their volunteer Church School teachers. Co-teachers are parents just like you! There are two co-teachers in each room that alternate teaching the class. These teachers lead the weekly lesson for your child's class, get to know children personally, and affirm that they are God's beloved children.
