Baptisms

Baptism is a sacrament and the beginning of a child's journey of faith. We want to make sure that the service is special and that raising your child in the Christian faith is helped and supported by Word of Peace.

Child Baptisms are typically held during church services on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month during worship, and after the last worship ends on the 3rd Sunday of the month. For information about older child or adult baptisms, please contact the church office.

Adult Baptisms are for adults who have never been baptized into the Christian faith. They are typically held privately after worship or at a time that is convenient for all parties. To schedule an adult baptism, please contact Pastor Ron or Pastor Rick at 763-496-2400.

    Baptism Classes

Parents are required to attend a baptism class prior to their child's baptism into the Christian Faith at Word of Peace. The purpose of the Baptism class is to explore the meaning of batptism, to go over the baptism service and to help equip parents to pass on the faith to their child.

If you have already attended a baptism class at Word of Peace for another child, you do not need to attend again.

Baptism Classes are typically held the first Monday of every month at 7:30pm*. To register, please complete this form.

*Class dates are tentative. Contact the church office to confirm dates.
